The international dimension of the energy transition

A high-level expert discussion event

Our response to the climate crisis must involve a radical reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions. The energy transition, i.e. replacing fossil fuels and enhancing energy efficiency, will be at the heart of this process. Given the technological and economic challenges of this momentous change, we are faced with a series of fundamental questions: What will the international division of labor look like? To what extent should European and Austrian clean energy be supplied from abroad? And, finally, how will all this be financed?

Presentations by three renowned experts will kick off an open discussion, which will also invite questions and answers from the audience.
