The Money Museum of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) has displays on monetary issues, including monetary history, for the general public. The exhibits highlight the development of money from its origins to the present day.

Currently on show at the museum are the exhibitions “Money” and “IN GOD WE TRUST. Divine money". Moreover, the Money Museum organizes special temporary exhibitions, each highlighting a different money-related theme. Also, visitors have a chance to view Europe’s second biggest gold coin and then to test their strength by lifting a gold bar.

Dates for our educational programmes (guided tours and workshops) are fully booked until the end of March 2025. You are welcome to send us enquiries for the rest of the summer semester. (The booking situation in April is already very tight).
