The tables "Instruments subject to credit risk in accordance with FinStab" replace the former tables "Instruments subject to credit risk in accordance with GCR and FinStab" from September 2024 on (see "Archive"). Some fundamental changes in reporting methodology render the new tables mostly uncomparable to the former tables.
1
The total volume includes the outstanding nominal value (resp. the nominal value or the gross carrying amount), the off-balance-sheet amount and accrued interest considering the transferred amount. The off-balance-sheet amount represents the total nominal value of all off-balance sheet risk positions. This includes loan commitments before taking into account conversion factors and credit risk mitigation techniques.
2
Regulation of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) regarding the collection of data on credit and country risks, residual maturity and foreign currency loans as well as of financial data on foreign banking subsidiaries (FinStab 2024 Reporting Regulation).
3
Included are all Austrian credit institutions (as a member of a credit institution group or as a stand-alone credit institution) whose activities consist of accepting deposits or other repayable funds from the public and granting loans for their own account.
4
This position includes debtors with ESA sectors 1400B (other households) and 1400Z (Households, not elsewhere classified), for which no NACE classification is available. In the case of debtors with ESA sector 1400A (self-employed households with and without employees), their classification is based on the NACE classification.
5
This includes micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in accordance with the EU Commission Recommendation of 6 May 2003 (analogous to the CRR only annual turnover is applied from the criteria of the Recommendation).
